HELLO!
My name is Danita Smith but you may also know of me by my nickname Dee. With my love for sport and fitness, I aim to help kids achieve their goals! I have completed my certificate III in fitness and have my first aid and CPR certificate. I also have my blue card!
Outside of health and fitness I study a Bachelor of Law. My goal is to guide kids to achieve their goals, whether that be individually or sport related aspects such as their agility, speed and power! Hard work is never easy but CONSISTENCY IS KEY.
MY STORY
I began athletics at my local Little Athletics club in under 6s where I competitively ran until the start of 2020. I ran the 100m and 200m until I was around the age of 13 years where I then found my main event of the 400m. I competed at the Queensland Championships numerous times, placing 3rd. I then went on to represent Queensland at the Australian Championships on multiple occasions. While competing at this level I was also juggling another sport which I competed in, Touch Football. At the beginning of 2020 I made the decision to completely focus on my touch football and have since made my Australian debut in the under 20 division.

Athletics is one category of coaching in which I offer to my clients. I provide a safe and encouraging environment for athletes to learn, grow and excel. My coaching approach allows for athletes to feel supported and empowered to push their boundaries. In this stage of an athlete, they are not only pushing themselves physically but developing a strong mindset of resilience, dedication and determination. My experience and knowledge is used to help my athletes enhance their speed and endurance, providing them with the tools they need to excel on the track. With a focus on refining sprinting techniques and optimising race strategies, my coaching goes beyond the physical training. I use equipment such as parachutes, speed sleds, resistance and starting blocks to elevate your speed.
Speed, Strength, Agility, Power and Endurance are all components of athletic performance which are used by all athletes whether that sport be individually or team related. I use a combination of equipment to enhance an athletes performance through plyometric boxes, hurdles, parachutes and speed sleds alongside strength components which all help to assist an athletes performance. Whether you are looking for assistance in your ability to maintain your speed over a longer distance or your ability to change direction quickly, I have you covered!
Are you looking at improving specific aspects of your sport while also wanting to incorporate your sport into sessions aswell? I offer sport-related fitness sessions which are tailored and designed to incorporate your specific sport into each session! This may include a soccer athletes agility while kicking a ball or a football athletes power and acceleration when receiving a ball. While these components may looks similar to speed, strength, agility, power and endurance coaching that I offer, the difference includes equipment such as a ball or equipment which may be used within your sport.
